GOBLIN SHARK: one of the most strange fish of the oceans

One of the most strange fish of the oceans, the goblin shark. The goblin shark (Mitsukurina owstoni) is poorly known species of deep-sea shark. This species is found along the outer continental shelves, upper slopes, and off sea-mounts

The goblin shark has been caught in all three major oceans and seems to live up 200 metres deep.

It is believed that the goblin shark feeds mainly on teleost fishes such as  dragonfishes. These sharks are hefty creatures, weighing in at about 400 pounds - 180 kilos.
