Captain Dan Hoey has been fishing out of Port Fairy in Victoria. He  was fishing to catch a mako shark when a curious great white shark intent on taking a bite out of the motor happened upon the scene.

Hoey was ready the next time the great white approached the motor, using a broom to push its head away.

A nice size white shark broke part of a cage and squeezed through its bars with a lone diver inside. The shark thrashed furiously for several seconds before leaping out through the top.

The great white shark came over the top of the cage, appearing as if it wanted a piece of the diver standing atop the shark cage.

The  past week the North Carolina Coast Guard has spotted a great white shark eating a dead minke whale few miles off Beaufort Inlet

The crew of the boat estimate the shark to be about 18 feet long, while the whale was about 13-14 feet long.

USA: caught huge shark estimated to be over 2,500 pounds

Captain Chip Michalove of "Outcast Sport Fishing" might have caught the all-tackle world record white shark. He was fishing off  off Hilton Head, in South Carolina, US.

The great white shark was hooked at around 2:50 in the afternoon and finally brought to the boat at 7 p.m. M

Michalove managed to attach near its dorsal fin an acoustic tag a scientist had given him, and he obtained a DNA sample.

After a 2-minute blistering run, she jumped completely out of the water and after an insane battle, we ended up getting her boat side.

He estimated that the great white shark weighed 2,500 pounds (1,135 kg), though there is no way to confirm that.

The all-tackle world record for a great white shark is 2,664 pounds, caught by Alfred Dean at Ceduna, Australia, back in 1959.

VIDEO: massive 15 foot white shark filmed off Guadalupe Island

Top cinematographer Elke Specker spent some days in a shark cage off Guadalupe Island, in Mexico, and captured these dramatic footage of a breaching great white shark.

He encountered a massive 15-foot, 3,500-pound great white and was the perfect actor for this underwater great video.

  Elke spent about 6 hours a day in shark cages for three days straight to capture some great moments.

This video was uploaded few days ago by the "Okinawa Times" and shows one white shark at the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium.

The male shark measures about 3.5 metres in length and was reportedly caught off Yomitan, a village located in Nakagami District, Okinawa Prefecture, Japan.

Unfortunately it died after few days, in fact seems that it impossible to  grow it in captivity.

All divers received quite the adrenaline rush when a small white shark arrives at full speed attacking the cage they were in, coming dangerously close to them with its razor-sharp teeth.

NEWS: caught monster great shark of 4,400 pounds

A giant great white shark weighing 4,400 pounds - 2,000 kilos was caught this week  off Sousse, Tunisia (North Africa) and sold by the fisherman for 3,000 dinars, or about $1,500.

This kind of catch are very rare in the Mediterranean and is done ecxusilvely accidentally by commercial net fishermen..

The catch, however, is being criticized because white sharks are listed as a vulnerable species by the "International Union for Conservation of Nature" and protected in most parts of the world.

A beached white shark was nearly saved by beachgoers; they had tied one end of a rope around its tail and a paddle-boarder carried the other end out to a boat to help tow it.
