During a shark tournament in Texas, angler Sergio Roque caught a monster size tiger shark.
Roque’s massive tiger shark weighed in a 964 pounds.

If you couldn’t guess, Roque’s fish took first place for the tournament.

AUSTRALIA: monster giant thiger sharks caught from the shore

Josh Butterworth and Jethro Bonnitcha, known as Western Australia's 'shark men', were caught on camera as they struggle to pull the giant shark on to the beach  off the Carnarvon on the north coast.

The two expert fishermen reeled in ten massive tiger sharks from the beach on a four day fishing trip as 'plenty more' lurked in the water only meters from shore.

They used kayaks to set the baited lines around 100 metres from the shore and reeled in the marine predators - some of which were over five metres long - from the sand.

US: fisherman catch the same tiger shark he caught last year

The giant 1,200 plus tiger shark caught a year ago by a Hilton Head charter fisherman and satellite tagged for research resurfaced the past week fished by the same captain.

Capt. Chip Michalove of "Outcast Sport Fishing" said that the big tiger is a lot bigger, much stronger.

This shark was tagged back in  2015, in Port Royal Sound off Hilton Head. At the time, seems that this tiger shark is the biggest tiger shark tagged on the East Coast.

Dave Freeman, a diver spearfishing in Hawaii out swims a shark. He says at least two sharks were fighting to eat his collection of fish.

So Dave  started swimming towards a shallow reef to get a way. While he moved Dave kept feeling a tug on his green rope. He explains at this point his heart was racing. He didn't want to hurt the shark so he slowly pulled on the line until the shark came to a rest on a reef.

The shark was free and Dave was free.

NEWS: caught giant 1.379 pounds tiger shark

An huge tiger shark weighing 1,379 pounds  - 624.5 kilos pounds and measuring nearly 14 feet was caught this past Tuesday by an angler who does not want his name or the location of the catch revealed.

This incredible photo was posted on the "Dark Side Sharkers" Facebook page, where it was listed as a “pending world record” for 30-pound-test line.

At present time the current IGFA (International Game Fish Association - www.igfa.org) record for the line class is a 1,364-pound, 10-ounce tiger shark caught off Swansea, Australia, in 1990.

The all-tackle record, for line of any strength, is a 1,785-pound, 11-ounce tiger shark caught off Ulladulla, Australia, back in 2004.

World Record Coordinator  Jack Vitek for the IGFA, said Wednesday that he had not heard from the angler, so there is no pending record.

Dark Side Sharkers has confirmed that the shark was not caught off Florida.

AUSTRALIA: two mega sharks caught and released

Two fishermen, Joshua Butterworth and Jethro Bonnichta, spent 10 days fishing on a beach north of Carnarvon,  in Western Australia, and caught and released 30 sharks, including two “huge sharks”

On their Facebbok accounts posed for photos of a massive hammerhead shark and an equally huge tiger shark that were estimated to weigh between 780 and 880 pounds.

Jethro , who spent more than an hour and a half battling the 13.5 foot hammerhead, which stripped out 2,500 feet of line three times, collapsed from exhaustion afterward.



The monster tiger shark took 30 to 40 minutes to land, by Bonnichta and was also over 13-feet long.

The pair also caught several lemon sharks and nurse sharks. All the sharks were released

VIDEO: shark attacks a pro sufer documented on TV

World champion and pro surfer Mick Fanning is the target of a shark attack at the "J-Bay Open" surfing competition in South Africa while waiting for his next wave.

All this was documented live at local TV. Fortunately the shark, probably a tiger, fissed him.

 Back at the beach Fanning said: “I just saw fins, I didn’t see the teeth,”  “I was waiting for the teeth.” It’s hard to see, but Fanning got some shots in. “I punched it in the back,”

This video was filmed on Bahamas where some divers were filming some sharks.

But one large shark took more than a passing interest recently; it clamped its jaws around a $10,000 camera and ended up swimming off with the rig but not without a struggle.

The tiger shark simply decided he wanted it for himself!

US: massive tiger shark landed in Florida

Young angler  JD Fagan , while night fishing in landed a monstrous shark from Ft. Lauderdale beach, Florida.

He  paddled out a line baited with a stingray, waited less than 3 hours before he felt a tug, and 45 minutes later he and three others friends were fighting with a tiger shark measuring about 12 feet and weighing sure more than 850 pounds.

They released the shark very quickly because it was pregant. In fact they  measured only the length (11 feet and 9 inches) and did not have time to measure the girth.

This huge tiger shark is the latest of several large sharks caught from Florida beaches during the last year or so, including a great white shark landed in early May near Panama City.



This kind of night shark fishing is becoming very popular, there are a lot of people doing this now.

Bull sharks, hammerheads, tiger sharks, an sometimes white sharks are among species of large sharks being hooked and, in most cases, released.

AUSTRALIA: caught monster size shark of 1,000 lb

While shore fishing in New South Wales, Australia a shark angler has caught and released “one of the largest tiger sharks ever caught off a beach in the world.

Max, the angler says that based on measurements the tiger shark was 14 feet long and weighed at least 1,000 pounds or 453 kilos.

Max was using 100 lb line and an heavy steel leader, and an old Penn Senator reel.  After the hook up, the first run of the shark was about 3000 yards.



Max fought the big shark for over 2 and half hours and fortunately decided to released it after several photos.

According to IGFA (International Game Fish Association - www.igfa.org) the largest tiger shark ever caught by a angler from a boat, is a 1,785 pound - 808 kilos landed in Australia

VIDEO: a very hungry and agressive tiger shark

Here an interesting video that shows a very hungry and aggressive. Some sperfishing divers set up a rope with a fish attached to it in order to chum up, this attracts other big fish.

On this day, a tiger shark came up and took a liking to the chum line. No, the Shark was not harmed in anyway.

Seems that the turtle was estimated to be around 250-300 lb, so the tiger shark was surely very huge!!
